The sword is made out of molded plastic and hand painted. 
The sword comes with

3. 2 plastic replacements for the painted sword on the machine already
4. 4 riser posts.

Simple install and adjustment. It is mounted on a plate that allows approximately 3/8 inch adjustment to make sure the ball does not hit it on travel.
